   Reilly Appointed as DATIA Master Trainer March 16, 2004  
 


The Drug & Alcohol Testing Industry Association recently appointed Joseph F. Reilly as one of two Master Trainers for their Certified Professional Collector Trainer® (CPCT) Course in Alternative and Urine Specimen Collections. The CPCT course is presented in various locations throughout the United States as well as at the DATIA national conference each year. Reilly presented his first course as a Master Trainer on Saturday March 13, 2002 in Philadelphia, PA.

The objective of the Certified Professional Collector Trainer® (CPCT) program is to provide instruction and resource material to enable collection trainers to develop and teach a collector training program that will deliver information to fellow company-employed collection personnel, helping them become proficient in providing collection services according to industry regulations and standards, that ensure the privacy, integrity, and security of the donor and the specimen. DATIA's CPCT Training Course is designed for experienced collectors and/ or collection site supervisors. The course meets the DOT requirements for collector qualification training and proficiency demonstration, and enables participants to serve as monitors of proficiency demonstrations for fellow collectors.

As a Charter Member of DATIA, Reilly originally become certified as a CPCT at DATIA’s first collector training program in Alexandria, VA in April of 1997. In 2002 Reilly was selected as a by DATIA as a Regional Certified Professional Collector Trainers® (R-CPCT) selected to serve as for the Drug and Alcohol Testing Industry Association (DATIA). R-CPCTs are authorized to conduct the DATIA Certified Professional Collector (CPC) training course to specimen collectors in regional areas throughout the United States.

Joseph F Reilly is President of Florida Drug Screening, Inc located in Palm Bay, Florida; he has been in the drug and alcohol testing business for eleven years. Florida Drug Screening, Inc is a nationwide provider of drug testing services and drug free workplace programs.

The Drug and Alcohol Testing Industry Association (DATIA) was founded in 1995 and represents over 1,000 members. DATIA represents the entire spectrum of drug and alcohol service providers including collection sites, laboratories, consortiums/TPAs, MROs, and testing equipment manufacturers. The association provides representation in Washington, DC, which ensures that the industry's voice is heard by key policymakers in Congress and Federal Agencies.
